Terms of hire
These are the terms that apply when you hire equipment from Imesiv Events. They're written in plain language on purpose — the same policies appear in the booking form and in your confirmation email.
Bookings and payment
Submitting this form is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. Your booking is confirmed once we have checked availability and received payment.
Named hirer and identification
Only the person named on the booking can take the equipment. They must be present with their photo ID and proof of address, whether they are collecting from us or we are delivering, because the hire agreement is signed at handover.
Photo ID (passport or driving licence) and proof of address (bank statement, utility bill or government document) are required at collection. We check them at handover and hand them straight back — we do not take copies, photographs or scans, and we do not keep them.
Security deposit
£100 refundable security deposit, subject to the cancellation, damage, loss and late-return terms.
Delivery and collection
Delivery and post-event collection are separate services and are charged separately.
Returns
Unless otherwise agreed, all equipment must be returned by 10:00am after the final hire date.
A grace period of up to two hours may be allowed. After that, late returns may be charged at £10 per hour. Please contact us as early as possible if you expect to be late.
Outdoor use
Outdoor hire does not mean the equipment is weatherproof. It must be kept dry at all times, and you are responsible for providing shelter, safe power and suitable conditions.
Damage, loss and noise
You are responsible for the equipment during the hire. Charges may apply for damage, liquid damage, loss or missing accessories, and are deducted from the deposit. Light cosmetic marks are treated as normal wear.
You are responsible for following venue rules, local noise restrictions and any licensing conditions. We supply the equipment; we do not authorise excessive noise or override venue rules.
Cancellations
Cancel 7 or more days before your hire date and your deposit is refunded in full. Cancel less than 7 days before and 25% of the deposit is retained — £25 on a £100 deposit, leaving £75 refunded.
Setup and operation
Dry hire made simple. Setup is not included, but we will show you how everything works before you take it, and how-to instructions are provided.
Insurance
Imesiv Events is fully insured.
